Tours of the OLV Basilica
Open Tours. Open,
guided tours are conducted every Sunday at 1 p.m. and 2
p.m. (except on Christmas and Easter). You do not have to make
an appointment to take part in an Open Tour. Just wait for a
tour guide by the "Tour in Progress" sign located in
the vestibule (the main foyer) of the Basilica by 1 p.m.
Personal Tours. Personal tours can be scheduled any time between
11 a.m. and 7 p.m. and on any day, as long as they do not conflict
with Masses, weddings, or funerals. Groups can be of any size,
and personal tours can be as long or short as desired. Generally,
tours last approximately 75 minutes, although arrangements can
be made to shorten/lengthen your visit. To schedule a Personal
Tour, call Denise Wood, Program Director at (716) 828-7517 (or via email). Please allow ample time when calling to schedule a tour. We will do our best to accomodate all requests.
Tours of the breathtaking OLV Basilica
are free of charge, although donations are accepted and go toward
offsetting the cost of renovation and upkeep of the National Shrine.
